How to Identify the Quality of Scaffolding When You Buy It

1. Looking at scaffolding's material

When choosing the scaffolding, you can learn about the material from the seller and see whether the first-grade steel pipe is used. Many small workshops lower the market price, and then mix the first-grade steel pipes and the second-grade steel pipes. The second-grade steel pipe is prone to bulging and cracking in the construction site, causing safety accidents. Therefore, it is very important to choose scaffolding according to material.


2. Looking at scaffolding's appearance

The appearance mainly depends on the consistency of glazing color, flatness, surface gloss, smoothness, the degree of sintering on the back, brand trademark, etc.


3. Looking at scaffolding's water absorption

The less water absorption, the better. Poor freezing resistance due to high water absorption. The inspection method is to compare the weight difference between the dry scaffolding and the soaked scaffolding, which is the moisture content. According to the national standard, the water absorption is less than or equal to 12.0%. If the quality is not up to standard, there must be a quality problem.


4. Looking at scaffolding's glaze crack

The glaze crack of conventional scaffolding is a common phenomenon. After the scaffolding with glaze crack is frozen in winter, the glaze layer will peel off and lose luster and waterproof performance. The inspection method is to see whether there are cracks as fine as cobweb on the surface of scaffolding. It is more obvious after being exposed to rain or water and sticking to dust.


5. Looking at scaffolding's sintering degree

The higher the sintering degree, the firmer the scaffolding. The method is to listen to the sound of knocking. The clearer the metal sound, the better the scaffolding. The bending strength of the national standard is more than or equal to 1020N. If this standard is not met, the quality needs to be considered. In addition, the scale of the manufacturer is also very important. Try to cooperate with large-scale and well-known scaffolding manufacturers. Most small workshops lack standardized management and long-term vision, and are easy to pursue immediate interests and cut corners. Therefore, the price of scaffolding may be lower than the market price, but the quality is not up to standard.
